CONFLUENCE
When her realities coalesce,
they transcend the boundaries of reason

Overview

CONFLUENCE examines the convergence of parallel realities within the architecture of a single consciousness. What begins as subtle instability deepens into an encounter with layered existence, where perception fractures, reforms, and reveals a structure previously unseen.

The
Work

A seemingly ordinary woman becomes aware that her reality is no longer singular. Separate dimensions begin to intersect within her lived experience — memory overlapping with possibility, certainty dissolving into ambiguity, the conceivable merging with the unimaginable.

As these currents fuse, her psychological landscape transforms. The erosion of the familiar does not lead to chaos, but to a heightened awareness of deeper design. The narrative unfolds as both psychological tension and speculative inquiry, challenging assumptions about what constitutes the real.

Confluence explores perception as dynamic structure — unstable, adaptive, and responsive to forces operating beyond immediate comprehension.

Critical
Perspective

Dr. Raymond Foery, Professor Emeritus of Film, Television, and Media Arts, writes:

“A truly imaginative filmmaker with a highly sophisticated sense of cinematic acuity… Each project reveals the mind of an artist grappling with the eternal philosophical dilemmas of our existence on this planet — as well as some speculation about those other planets out there. In short, Jim’s work forces us to think as well as to look.”
